Well... hiking the Continental Divide Trail, of course!
Some people are content to cultivate hobbies, take vacations, and play pickleball (not running away from that description) in retirement. My husband, though, has a chronic and severe case of “What’sMyNextChallenge-itis” that he can barely keep at bay. When his friend, Hiker Bob, suggested a long hike, he was ready for a new trail and challenge. Which is how we now find him in New Mexico at the start of the Continental Divide Trail (“CDT”), beginning the approximately 5-month journey from the Mexico-New Mexico border to the Montana-Canada border.

When I first saw the food bags, I thought they were garbage bags full of food on your floor! It took me several looks to see they were individual food bags on your kitchen counter/island! Silly me!!
